Awards, Grants, and Fellowships
AWARDS
The department has two award categories:
- Language And Culture Awards
These awards are for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who have distinguished themselves in German language study.
- Geza Von Molnár Essay Awards
These awards are for students who have written exceptional papers (either in German or English) on a German cultural or literary topic or question.
Both awards are given out at the end of Spring quarter.

We would also like to encourage students to consider applying for grants and fellowships to support their study abroad, internships and research
