"The Medieval Luther"
edited by Professor Christine Helmer

Congratulations to Professor Christine Helmer whose edited volume "The Medieval Luther" was published by Mohr Siebeck. This revisionist study demonstrates Luther's deep familiarity with medieval philosophy and theology. It connects his doctrines of Christ, salvation, and the priesthood to broader late medieval historical, religious, and political concerns, and shows how indispensable the study of the Middle Ages is for understanding Luther's theology. The volume appears as volume 117 in the series Spätmittelalter, Humanismus, Reformation / Studies in the Late Middle Ages, Humanism, and the Reformation.
