News from Sophia Lencioni

Sophia Lencioni graduated in 2019 with a double major in German and Comparative Literature. Under the supervision of Anna Parkinson, Sophia completed  a senior thesis in Comparative Literature  titled “Transforming and Flinching Away in Cortázar’s “Axolotl” and Kafka’s Die Verwandlung." Sophia’s honors thesis received the CLS Program’s most prestigious senior award: Highest Achievement in Undergraduate Research. In the Fall 2020,  Sophia will be starting her Phd in Comparative Literature at UCLA. Congratulations Sophia and thank you Anna Parkinson for continuing to mentor this outstanding student.
