DEPARTMENT OF GERMAN

This past year, I was honored to be chosen for the BTAA Staff Development award for 2026.  This program is a professional development opportunity for selected Big Ten staff to learn about the internationalization of higher education and best partnership practices.  During the year, I engaged in a series of on-line webinars, special topic sessions, and traveled with 20 other Big Ten staff members in June to Dublin and Galway, Ireland for a capstone field experience.  We met with higher education partners at Trinity College, University College Dublin, University of Galway and the U.S. Embassy-Fulbright Office. It was truly an amazing experience, and I hope to bring back some of the best practices and insights I learned to my departments at Northwestern University.
