Student Advisory Board (SAB) Representatives
Each year, the German Department nominates up to two students to represent the department on the Weinberg College Student Advisory Board (SAB). These representatives bring concerns of a structural nature to the attention of the Department Chair, the Director of Undergraduate Studies, and the WCAS Dean’s Office.The SAB is the primary source of student advice to the Dean of the College and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs. Student Advisory Board representatives:
- meet quarterly with the Dean;
- serve on several vital College-level committees;
- represent the College and their major or minor at events, including Wildcat Days for admitted students.
If you are a student in the German Department and would like to provide feedback on the course of study, offer suggestions for improvement, or discuss the possible nomination of an instructor for a teaching award, you may contact either representative.
The department is very grateful to our representatives for taking on this important role.
