New Voices: Celina Bostic
Celina Bostic writes an empowering hymn for black people and people of color with her new song "Nie wieder leise". "I look in the mirror and want to be someone else", so begins the new song. It's about the struggle to grow up in a white majority society and about struggling with her own reflection. The lines of their song are honest, they are vulnerable, they are strong. In the video for the single, Celina lets celebrities sing along with her hymn: Samy Deluxe, Tupoka Ogette, Alice Hasters, Aminata Belli, Tarik Tesfu and Thelma Buabeng are there. In a statement Tupoka Ogette says: "Being black is not one voice, but very, very many different voices, intersectional - and all of these voices should be heard."
(So lange, so lange leise, so lange leise, so lange)
(Lange leise, lange, so lange, so lange leise, leise)
Suche mir falsche Freundе,
So lange Leise
So lange Leise
Und so lang' wir war'n
War'n so lange leise
Wir war'n
So lange Leise
Wir sind nie wieder, nie wieder leise
Wir sind nie wieder leise
Wir sind nie wieder, nie wieder leise
Wir sind nie wieder leise
Wir sind nie wieder, nie wieder leise
Wir sind nie wieder leise
